At Devereux Adolescent Health and Wellness, we understand that the physical, hormonal and emotional changes that define puberty and the transition from childhood to adulthood are more effectively treated by an integrated care team specializing in the whole person health care that responds to unique health care needs of adolescents and young adults.

Located in Mesa, our Behavioral Health Consultant works alongside primary care practitioners in an integrated primary care setting. Operates in a consultative role to the primary care practitioner (PCP) utilizing the Primary Care Behavioral Health (PCBH) Model. This position also supports the PCP in addressing behavioral health concerns that negatively impact the health and wellness of patients.

Schedule is Monday-Friday 8:00am – 6:00pm, this can vary on some days based on the needs of the program.

Requirements

Our ideal candidate:

  • Master’s or Ph.D. Degree in Psychology, Counseling, or Social Work.

  • The BHC role can be assumed by independently licensed psychologists, social workers; marriage and family therapists; or counselors.

  • Clinical Internship and three (3) years relevant experience working with children and adolescents in a behavioral health setting required.

  • Maintains licenses and/or certification as indicated. Current valid independent license to practice in Arizona with no restrictions required.

  • Experience working in a primary care setting and proficient with EMR is highly preferred.

  • Bilingual preferred
