POSITION SUMMARY

We have an exciting opportunity at Aetna for a Business Analyst with our Meritain Health team. This role will create and execute specific deliverables and activities as part of a team within Customer Service. May act as a key contributor to a business-sponsored IT project. Key contributor to overall project success.

POSITION SUMMARY

Located in Lansing MI preferably but open to MN, FL,NY, IN or AZ

This is an office based position with no full time telework option at this time.

Fundamental Components:

Performs analysis and translates business needs to create high-quality Business Requirements and Functional Specifications documentation within specified time frames to solve moderately complex problems (multiple interfaces with other systems within a business unit) considering all impacted components from an end-to-end perspectiveApplies specific functional and/or business expertise to perform assigned tasks and develop specific project deliverablesConducts impact analysis of technology changes on business processes and existing technology.Competent to work with minimal supervision in a technical capacity on most phases of the business systems analysis.Contributes to the review of Test Planning and Test Execution strategies for the business.Develops business workflow diagrams. Completes project activities on time and within budget, and proactively identifies and communicates issues that may jeopardize milestones or project budget to the Project Manager.Creates documentation and appropriate communication materials and distributes appropriately.Conducts interviews, fact-finding, and independent research to assist in designing creative, progressive IT solutions for business problems.The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by people assigned to this classification. BACKGROUND/EXPERIENCE desired:

  • Must possess sound knowledge of Customer Service processes and systems

  • Ability to successfully interact with team members and representatives from other departments

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to apply creative approach to identified process improvements.

  • Business Analyst experience. - Knowledge of structured development and delivery lifecycles and methodologies.

    EDUCATION

    The highest level of education desired for candidates in this position is a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
