IBM Watson Health-Consulting Scientist in Phoenix, Arizona
Provide leading-edge healthcare consulting solutions for our clients. Apply comprehensive knowledge of industry trends and client decision support needs to identify and provide leadership for execution of value add opportunities, high quality analytics and actionable recommendations. Is a recognized subject matter expert in Payer/health plan operations, and contributes materially to the analytic and consulting support for several teams across all segments.
Provide leadership on consulting engagements and engage in billable consulting activity in partnership with client team members.
Manage evolving client expectations, needs and priorities, and collaborate with client team members to ensure effective integration with consulting and service delivery capabilities and priorities, including database production processes.
Participate and sometimes lead the strategy and development process to create new solutions/analytics to meet market demands.
Develop and publish articles/blogs and participate in public speaking presentations (e.g., webinars, conferences) as a method of marketing and thought leadership for Truven Health Analytics.
Assists with the development, documentation and presentation of complex projects to clients.
Dotted line management of key senior level analytic staff to mentor and strengthen our bench.
Meet face-to-face with clients regularly to share Truven best practice and ideas that may lead to revenue generation.
Supports Truven Health organizational goals for revenue achievement, productivity and employee growth
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
7 years project management skills
7 years work experience in healthcare analysis and/or consulting, particularly working at a health plan or health system
3 years ability to lead discussion of general industry challenges and high interest topic areas, connecting and proposing appropriate solutions to clients.
3 years proven history of developing new and useful ways to support client decisions related to managing healthcare costs and quality.
Preferred Tech and Prof Experience
10 years work experience in healthcare analysis and/or consulting, particularly working at a health plan or health system
7 years ability to lead discussion of general industry challenges and high interest topic areas, connecting and proposing appropriate solutions to clients.
